Google et al and their cancel culture are actively suppressing those who beg to differ from the established narrative. And in keeping you healthy, Big Pharma, the FDA, and insurance companies seem seem to drive most medical practitioners more than science. The medical establishment is woefully ignorant and last-to-know when it comes to anything except repairing a broken body. To get the best care possible we should want the doctors medical degree and a patient’s proactive participation in their healthcare. Google offers a lot of value (even to doctors who use it) and a doctor’s medical degree offers a ton of value as well. At the end of the day, it really comes down to mutual respect for each other and collaboration to achieve the best outcomes. Patients should search Google for information and be proactive in their care, but they can also do it in a respectful way. The reality is that doctors can’t know everything and the pressures of our healthcare system make it hard for them, but doctors should respect patients who are proactive in their care. It makes sense why doctors could have some skepticism around what patients find in their Google searches. Google said the patient was going to die from some illness no patient has ever heard about. Google and worried themselves needlessly over something that was diagnosed simply by the doctor even though Dr. Plus, doctors can recount hundreds of stories of patients who have researched their hearts out on Dr. The 15 minute paradigm doesn’t leave much space for doctors to listen to patients. While these are both true, that’s not an excuse for patients to take it so far that they’re disrespectful to clinicians that are trying to help them which is what happens sometimes. We know of a lot of patients who have done their own research and been proactive patients and saved their lives. Plus, we know a lot of stories of patients who haven’t been listened to by doctors and have had adverse results. Some patients take their Google searches too far and treat clinicians poorly because they think they know better. The reality is that both sides of this discussion have important points to make. The internet has a lot of info if it helps you understand your health better, use it! I can’t believe I have to clarify this but this is mocking those who actually get upset when patients do their own research. Naina even followed up with this clarification of the intent of the tweet: The reaction to the above tweet was really interesting and worthy of a read to understand a lot of the angles of this conversation. PLEASE do NOT confuse your GOOGLE SEARCH with my MEDICAL DEGREE because the GOOGLE knows MORE than ME and is definitely MUCH betterįor those following along at home, this is a twist of a popular meme that’s gone around the internet and is often shared by doctors that says “Please Do Not Confuse Your Google Search With My Medical Degree.” In fact, you can get it on a mug if you’d like. It should come as no surprise that I see and understand many of the angles this conversation takes. Although, ironically, the title for this article came from an MS3. Who doesn’t like a little controversy to start your Monday? Ok, I know that the title is going to irk a number of doctors.

Tom's Guide featured PCSX Reloaded in a feature about the best PlayStation emulators, scoring it at 4 of 5 points. It is also used as the emulator on Sony's PlayStation Classic dedicated console. PCSXR was used for an official port and commercial re-release of N2O: Nitrous Oxide on Steam on June 29, 2015. Linux, macOS/ OS X, and Microsoft Windows on x86-based computers are the main development focus of PCSX-Reloaded but various PCSX iterations have been ported to other platforms as well, including Dreamcast, GameCube, PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox, and various ARM-based platforms (PCSX-Rearmed fork) such as BlackBerry Playbook and Nintendo 3DS. Additionally, PCSX seeks to simulate the functionality of the PlayStation BIOS and consequently does not require a BIOS file dump to operate, making it easier to emulate legally, however, Bios emulation is still incomplete so it is better to use dumped BIOS to avoid various bugs and reduced compatibility. It also has multi-track cue support and is the only PS1 emulator with compatibility with anti-jitter options in graphics plugins, such as GTE accuracy in the default Peops OpenGL plugin, or Improved coordinate accuracy in Edgbla's gpuBladeSoft and it also supports PeteOpenGL2Tweak plugin. As with many modern emulators, PCSX-Reloaded supports savestates and also has Save Rewind feature (currently only OSX and Linux version), Support for ECM files (currently only OS X and Linux version), Support for Libarchive (currently only OSX and Linux version), widescreen hack and makes use of plug-ins to emulate GPU, SPU, and CD-ROM drive functions, a model first established in PSEmu Pro, it uses Peops OpenGL plugin for graphics on default but can also use Pete's OpenGL2, gpuBladeSoft, PCSX2 graphics plugin GSDX, AmiDog GPU plugin, Asmodeans PSXFX shader pack, input plugins such as Lilypad and Pokopom Pad Plugin. PCSX supports network play and external plugins as used by ePSXe. In this context, PCSX-Redux shares several approaches with the PlayStation 2 emulation successor project PCSX2 Additionally, the plugin system will be replaced through a single monolithic codebase that handles all aspects of the PlayStation emulation. Everything should be implemented on top of SDL/ OpenG元+/ ImGui. This fork has the goal of a complete redesign along more up to date code standards. It can be seen as the latest iteration of the original PCSX codebase. In 2019, another fork PCSX-Redux was started. PCSX-df and PCSX-Reloaded coexisted for a while, with PCSX-df merging changes of PCSX-Reloaded back into df. PCSX-Reloaded is a new project created in mid-2009, which is based on the work of the PCSX-df branch, completely independent, and works on bug fixes while maintaining Windows and OS X compatibility alongside Linux. Version 1.10 was released on March 29, 2009. PCSX-df was created in 2006 and added new features, a new GTK-based interface, AMD64 support, and corrected some bugs, but was developed mainly with only Linux compatibility in mind. Official development ceased on September 17, 2003, and development shifted to the new PlayStation 2 emulator, PCSX2. It is released under the GNU General Public License.ĭevelopment for the emulator started in July 20, 1999, The emulator was first released for the PC on August 31, 2000. PCSX has a high compatibility rate, and is currently available for a number of different operating systems including, Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Linux. A newer, actively maintained fork of PCSX-Reloaded is PCSX-Redux. As of 2021, the emulator seems to be no longer under active development. Over the years, development changed hands several times with PCSX-Reloaded (PCSXR) now being the main version. PCSX is a free and open-source, video game console emulator that allows software designed to be used with the Sony PlayStation to run on personal computers. Wood Is the New White for Vanities: Wood is now the color of choice for upgraded vanities (33 percent), followed by white, gray and blue (29 percent, 13 percent and 8 percent, respectively). The current and future needs of aging household members are the top priority (38 percent and 50 percent, respectively). Homeowners Plan Ahead with Universal Design: Two-thirds of homeowners address special needs during primary bathroom renovations (66 percent), up from 54 percent in 2021. Cost-effectiveness in the long run and environmental friendliness are the reasons cited most frequently for sustainable choices (69 percent and 54 percent, respectively). The most popular are LED lightbulbs, water-efficient fixtures, a timeless design, energy-efficient features and light dimmers (62 percent, 46 percent, 44 percent, 34 percent and 34 percent, respectively). Sustainability Abounds: The overwhelming majority of homeowners choose sustainable options for their renovated bathrooms (87 percent). While cabinetmakers, interior designers, bathroom designers and architects were all hired more frequently this year (23 percent, 14 percent, 14 percent and 10 percent, respectively), general contractors saw the most significant increase (53 percent, compared with 48 percent in 2022). The majority of homeowners rely on professionals to help with bathroom renovations (86 percent). They continue to invest in improvements out of necessity and future needs.” Nevertheless, bathrooms are a consistent focus for homeowners who want to update the room’s style and functionality. “This is the fourth consecutive year in which median spend has increased for primary bathrooms, likely driven in part by supply chain disruptions and inflation. Now, they’re finding ways to reconfigure rooms to expand bathrooms and showers,” said Marine Sargsyan, Houzz staff economist. “We’ve seen homeowners work with home professionals to find new ways to maximize their existing space and better meet their needs since the beginning of the pandemic. The median spend for primary bathrooms that are 100 square feet or larger is $25,000, compared with $15,000 for bathrooms smaller than 100 square feet. For those doing “major” renovations, which include shower upgrades, median spend grew 33 percent year over year to $20,000. The national median spend for primary bathroom remodels jumped 50 percent to $13,500, from $9,000 in 2022. Some showers even include a freestanding tub (3 percent). More than two-thirds of homeowners also incorporate premium features in their upgraded showers (67 percent), including rainfall shower heads, dual showers, body sprayers and thermostatic mixers (54 percent, 20 percent,16 percent and 14 percent, respectively). Common styles include low curb, alcove, curbless and corner showers (43 percent, 42 percent, 24 percent and 21 percent, respectively). With the added space, it’s no surprise that more than three in five homeowners also increase the size of their shower (61 percent), with 20 percent going significantly larger (more than a 50 percent increase in size). Following renovations, nearly three in five bathrooms measure 100 square feet or more (59 percent). One in six homeowners created a larger footprint for their bathrooms via an addition (17 percent). Closets, bedrooms and hallways are the most common areas for homeowners to draw square footage from for their bathroom expansion (44 percent, 24 percent and 7 percent, respectively). The survey of nearly 2,000 respondents found that one in five homeowners enlarge their primary, or en suite, bathrooms during renovations (22 percent). It’s now one of the lightest areas of the house.Houzz Inc. “This bathroom gives them a place to escape to,” Hagman says. How to implement sharing an email CTA via text: Step 1 – The link in the email itself The pre-drafted message that pops up as soon as the CTA is clicked, your subscriber simply needs to choose the message recipient, personalize the message however they’d like, and send. When the recipient then clicks that CTA – they’re re-routed to open their phones’ default messaging app, with a pre-drafted text ready to send as soon as they determine who they want to send it to. Instead of requiring a user to copy a link, a link is embedded directly into a CTA button or text link in the original recipients’ email. With a bit of experimentation, we piloted a solution for our client, Lunchbox. But how do you share something from an email with a friend via text? A screenshot? Trying to copy a link and write up a text saying ‘hey this is something you should check out’? These methods are full of friction. One thing we do have though is our friends’ phone numbers. Referrals are an incredible boost to growth – but for many B2C brands, how many subscribers really have their friends’ email addresses readily available? Not many. Email marketers love seeing their emails getting forwarded. If you’ve spent much time doing email marketing, you’ve likely seen the confusing behavior of excessive opens and mismatched cookies caused by a subscriber forwarding an email (without using that ‘forward to a friend’ link that no one actually uses). |
